Systems Analyst for Complex Projects

Mr. Weissmuller was the Principal Investigator on all major Air Force work units supporting the Comprehensive Occupational Data Analysis Programs (CODAP) system. During this time he was the Air Force focal point for the transfer of technology for the CODAP system. Mr. Weissmuller represented AFHRL at Federal Laboratory Consortium Exhibitions and acted as the Air Force evaluator for the Navy-sponsored IBM/CODAP80 rewrite project. Mr. Weissmuller organized and taught seminars on the Air Force CODAP system to personnel managers, job analysts, and occupational researchers. He supervised and trained CODAP technicians, CODAP programmers, and the utility programming staff which designed and implemented a computer language used heavily at AFHRL. His personal design and implementation of task factor analysis, modular job analysis, and cluster-matrix enhancement techniques provided essential tools to support numerous projects. Acknowledgements in final reports cite his substantial contributions to the operational design and analysis of many major AFHRL research thrusts such as Training Priorities, Aptitude Requirements, and Strength & Stamina. Mr. Weissmuller managed the conversion of a major FORTRAN software package (Career Area Rotation Model: CAROM) from the CDC-6600 to the Sperry (Univac) 1108. In his off-duty time, Mr. Weissmuller provided job analysis consulting, converted FIELDATA CODAP to a CDC-6600 version for the University of Texas Graduate School of Business, and installed CODAP at many locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
