Using his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, the first ten years of Mr. Weissmuller’s career spanned from scientific programmer to systems analyst, to principal investigator, to program manager. During this period, Mr. Weissmuller represented the Air Force Human Resources Laboratory at Transfer of Technology functions – flowing technology from federal agencies to state and local governments, as well as to allied national governments. Mr. Weissmuller contributed substantially to many Air Force projects modeling personnel utilization, training and pay-equity issues. He also served on the Lackland Federal Credit Union Advisory Board. While in civil service, Mr. Weissmuller completed 30 credit hours towards a PhD in Educational Psychology specializing in Quantitative Methods and was accepted into the Air Force Comptroller Executive Cadre. Twenty years ago, Mr. Weissmuller left federal service to support public and private agencies as a consultant/contractor. In this capacity, Mr. Weissmuller worked with small disadvantaged, minority companies to start-up, secure government contracts, and grow into stable and sustainable business concerns. In addition, in 1982, Mr. Weissmuller formed his own corporation to develop and market a PC-based system for strategic human resources management that was tailored to the needs of city, county, and state government agencies. In addition to running his company for twenty years (2002), Mr. Weissmuller has helped to establish the Institute for Job and Occupational Analysis (IJOA, 1993) and the Innovation Center for Occupational Data Applications & Practices (ICODAP, 2002) – Texas not-for-profit corporations. Over the past three years, Mr. Weissmuller has conducted three projects for the United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS). These projects included work in the Asia Regional Office (Kuala Lumpur, document job descriptions), the worldwide survey of Atomic Energy Inspectors (Vienna, workload assessment), and the worldwide survey of UNOPS Project Managers (New York, for pay equity). Most recently, Mr. Weissmuller served the ALI Group (San Antonio) in areas such as financial modeling, strategic business development and appropriate use of emerging technologies. In this ALI Group work, Mr. Weissmuller audited and fine-tuned Excel business models for managing portfolios ranging from $100 million to $750 million in the emerging Life Settlement industry. |
